According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of September 2, 2024, Russia has suffered significant losses from Ukrainian forces.

As of September 2, Russia has lost the following:
- Personnel - about 617,600 (+1,300) people.
- Tanks - 8,601 (+9) units.
- Armored combat vehicles - 16,786 (+26) units.
- Artillery systems - 17,646 (+10) units.
- Rocket launcher systems (MLRS) - 1,177 (+1) units.
- Air defense systems (ADS) - 940 (+0) units.
- Aircraft - 368 (+0) units.
- Helicopters - 328 (+0) units.
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) operational-tactical level - 14,537 (+30) units.
- Cruise missiles - 2,557 (+0) units.
- Ships / boats - 28 (+0) units.
- Submarines - 1 (+0) unit.
- Automotive equipment and tankers - 23,925 (+44) units.
- Special equipment - 2,993 (+2) units.
Occupier fleet activity as of September 2
- No enemy ships in the Black Sea.
- No enemy ships in the Azov Sea.
- There are two enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which has eight "Kalibr" cruise missiles.
In the direction of Russia through the Kerch Strait, the following vessels passed within a day:
- To the Black Sea - 11 vessels, of which six continued to the Bosphorus Strait.
- To the Azov Sea - 10 vessels, of which two were heading from the Bosphorus Strait.
