The potato market of Ukraine is threatened with a price increase
Over the past month, potato prices in Ukraine have risen significantly. According to an analysis conducted by the portal 'Khvylya', the average price of potatoes is now significantly higher than in August. In particular, regular potatoes have increased by 18% to 26.55 UAH per kilogram, young potatoes by a staggering 78% to 40.60 UAH per kilogram, and pink potatoes to 24.90 UAH per kilogram.
The price increase affects large markets. For example, at the 'Stolychnyi' market, prices range from 17 to 20 UAH per kilogram, and at the 'Počatok' market - from 21 to 23 UAH wholesale and 30 UAH retail. At the 'Shuvar' market, potatoes can be purchased at prices ranging from 17 to 20 UAH per kilogram.
