Zelensky and Sandu Signed a Joint Statement: Key Points.


Mai Sandu Held Talks with Volodymyr Zelensky
President of Moldova Mai Sandu visited Ukraine and held talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The leaders of the two countries signed a joint statement aimed at strengthening cooperation and countering Russian aggression.
After the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify efforts to develop relations between the countries and support the territorial integrity of both states. Moldova also expressed full solidarity with Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression and committed to providing practical assistance.
Particular attention was paid to energy security. The leaders condemned Russia's halting of gas supplies to the Transnistrian region of Moldova and agreed on joint steps to diversify energy sources.
The presidents also discussed issues of European integration. Both countries confirmed their intention to open all negotiation clusters regarding EU membership by the end of 2025.
In social media, Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of stability in the region, noting: 'The situation is serious in our neighbors, unstable, and only together can we fix this situation.'
