Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb to discuss the current situation at the front and coordinate joint actions.

According to the report, Volodymyr Zelensky informed Alexander Stubb in detail about the situation on the battlefield and emphasized the importance of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. The President of Ukraine noted that achieving a just and sustainable peace is only possible by strengthening the country's defense capabilities and imposing sanctions pressure on Russia.

Additionally, they discussed the role of the United States and their proposals for a ceasefire, which Russia has rejected for 36 days. The presidents agreed on joint steps and contacts with partners to counter possible Russian provocations.

Zelensky thanked Stubb for his support, advice, and willingness to make efforts to achieve peace. He stated that only principled steps can force Russia to return to the negotiation process and cease violence.

In response, the Finnish President published a tweet stating that Ukraine had accepted a full and unconditional ceasefire and called on Russia to do the same. He also noted that Finland and Ukraine continue to work together to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
