Companies in the private sector added 155,000 jobs in March, payroll processing company ADP reported on Wednesday. This figure exceeds economists' forecast of 115,000 jobs and is also larger than the previous revised figure of 84,000. Annual pay rose by 4.6%, which is less than the previous month, ADP stated. 'Despite policy uncertainty and dissatisfied consumers, the main takeaway is that the number of arrivals in March was good for the economy and employers of any size, if not necessarily for all sectors,' said ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson. This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
