Meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters
On September 16, 2024, a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters took place under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The agenda included important issues of national security and defense.
The President heard reports from intelligence services regarding the situation at the front and the plans of the Russian occupiers. According to the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Main Intelligence Directorate, there is a noticeable deterioration in discipline in Russian units.
Particular attention was paid to the state of readiness of engineering protection of critical infrastructure facilities. The participants discussed the completion schedule of relevant work, which is critically important in the context of preparation for the winter period.
Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense Ihor Voronchenko reported on the work of combat training centers. Based on the discussions, the President instructed the General Staff to develop a list of measures to improve their work, emphasizing the importance of high-quality training for Ukraine's defenders.
Separate attention was paid to the issue of drone production. Zelensky noted that some of the largest countries exporting drone components are introducing export restrictions. "We know how to make sure these restrictions do not become critical for us," emphasized the President.
