The Ministry of Defense protects the rights of servicemen
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to systematically work on protecting the rights of servicemen. According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of 2025, 156 issues of defenders and their families have been resolved with the help of the Central Administration for the Protection of Servicemen's Rights (CAPSR) based on the processing of their appeals and requests.
'We are doing everything possible to ensure that the rights and guarantees of each of our defenders are protected. We do not just respond to appeals, but also implement systemic changes so that protection mechanisms are more effective,' said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.
Among the most common violations reported by servicemen and their relatives are non-payment of monetary allowances and additional rewards, failure to transfer to another place of service, failure to provide documents regarding the missing persons, non-payment of one-Time assistance in case of death or injury, and failure to direct to the Military Medical Commission (MMC).
'The number of appeals is constantly growing, which indicates an increase in trust in our administration. We try to identify systemic violations and work on improving legislation to prevent their recurrence,' said the head of the Central Administration for the Protection of Servicemen's Rights Colonel Petro Fivkin.
