From 900 to 32000 euros: a European country will sharply increase payments to migrants.

Sweden plans to increase financial assistance for migrants
Ulf Kristersson, the Prime Minister of Sweden, stated the country's intention to control migration and increase financial assistance for migrants as an incentive for their return to their home countries. Currently, the grant aid for adults is only 900 euros, but this program has had little success.
To change this trend, the new bill proposes to raise the aid to 32,000 euros, which is a 3400% increase - explained Kristersson.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this measure may not please everyone, but the main issue is integration. If migrants have the right to stay in Sweden but do not integrate into society, it may be worth supporting their return.
Tighter conditions for receiving assistance from Sweden
Recently, the conditions for receiving social support for Ukrainians in Sweden have become stricter. To access social services, one must have a personal number and go through registration. It is also worth noting that Ukrainians in Germany need to register their place of residence within 14 days, otherwise they may face a fine of up to 1000 euros. Registration is of great importance for a normal life in another country.
Ukrainians who find themselves in difficult situations due to the war can receive financial assistance from the charity fund 'Right to Protection' in cooperation with the UN Refugee Agency.
