For the second time this month, an earthquake occurred in Poltava region.


An earthquake occurred in the Poltava region near the village of Brailki
This is the second earthquake in the Poltava region in a month. The Main Center for Special Monitoring recorded the earthquake near the village of Brailki, located in Poltava region.
On February 16 at 00:48, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 (on the Richter scale) was recorded in the area of the village of Brailki in Poltava district. The epicenter of the earthquake is located at a depth of 2 kilometers.
It is known that at the beginning of February, tremors were also recorded in Poltava region. At 18:21, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.67 occurred between Poltava and Reshetylivka. The tremors were recorded at a depth of 3 km.
Recall that on November 9 at 20:29, an earthquake was recorded in Poltava region. It was at a depth of eight kilometers.
Also, on October 8, 2024, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred near Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine.
Earlier, on September 1 at 05:50:56, the Main Center for Special Monitoring registered an earthquake near the Crimean Peninsula. The epicenter of the earthquake is located in the eastern part of the Black Sea, 20 kilometers southeast of the Crimean Peninsula coast, at a depth of 6 km.
The earthquake does not pose a threat to the population of Ukraine.
