Vakarchuk explained where the hundreds of thousands of hryvnias paid to him by the Armed Forces of Ukraine went.

The leader of the band 'Okean Elzy' and serviceman Svyatoslav Vakarchuk commented on the decrease of his salary in 2024. This year, his income amounted to 1 million UAH, which corresponds to a 10-fold reduction compared to 2023.

The largest part of the musician's income was ensured by his military service - 330.7 thousand UAH. This is significantly less than the 764.7 thousand UAH he received in 2022-2023.

'My monthly salary as a serviceman goes back to the army for needs, in particular, to the fund for competent help to the army 'Come back alive',' Vakarchuk stated.

Meanwhile, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk's manager stated that he does not have a combatant status and does not plan to return to politics.

'He does not have and will not have the status of a combatant, as well as benefits. And I say it once again to the bot farms: he will not go anywhere else', she wrote.

It should be noted that in May 2024, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk submitted a declaration for discharge from service in the Armed Forces. However, the press service of the band 'Okean Elzy' explained that he remains mobilized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as discharge from the position does not mean demobilization. Vakarchuk was only transferred to another position, but it was not specified which one.

At the beginning of the war, the leader of the band 'Okean Elzy' signed a contract with the Armed Forces and became a lieutenant. Vakarchuk worked in the Lviv regional military administration and made trips across Ukraine to inspire people.
