An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 occurred in the area of the main uranium enrichment site in Iran. The incident took place near the city of Isfahan in the central part of the country. After the first tremor, a second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 was recorded. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the nuclear facility remained unharmed.
Reza Mousavi, head of the crisis management department of Isfahan province, reported that emergency teams are assessing the damaged areas.
Other seismic events
It is also worth mentioning that on March 6, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 occurred in the Ternopil region. Although this earthquake had a lower intensity, some residents on the upper floors of high-rise buildings felt it.
