Ukrainians won gold at the European Championship in diving.


The Ukrainian team, consisting of Ksenia Bocchek and Diana Karnafel, won gold at the European Championship in diving from the three-meter springboard in synchronized diving. This is the second victory for Ukraine in this competition. The last Time Ukrainian athletes took the first place was in 1999.
In the team competition of this championship in mixed pairs, the Ukrainian team also took first place, surpassing the German team by nearly seven points.
Details of participation in synchronized diving from the 3-meter springboard
- The first two attempts had the lowest difficulty in the program - 2.0. Initially, the Ukrainians were in third place with a score of 45.60 points, but after the next attempt, their 45.00 points allowed them to rise to second place.
- However, the third and fourth jumps with the highest difficulty in the program (3.0) allowed Ksenia and Diana to take first place with a score of 61.20 points. The last jump with a difficulty coefficient of 2.8 brought them 63.84 points, and in total, the Ukrainians scored 276.84 points, exceeding the result of the German pair. Representatives of Great Britain took third place with 264.90 points.

This is already the second victory for the Ukrainian duo Ksenia Bocchek and Diana Karnafel in synchronized diving. Previously, they became champions at the 2024 World Championships among juniors in aquatics in Rio de Janeiro.
