Ukrainian Shulha named Player of the Year in the Atlantic-10 NCAA Conference.


The Basketball Federation of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian basketball player Maksym Shulha has been awarded the title of Player of the Year in the Atlantic-10 conference.
Shulha's team, VCU, won its conference, winning 15 out of 18 games, and overall achieved 25 wins and 6 losses in the season. Their first playoff game will take place on the night of March 15.
Shulha leads his team in scoring (15.5 points per game), assists (3.8 per game), and steals (1.9 per game). He is also ranked third in the Atlantic-10 conference for steals and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio.
Shulha has been named the conference's Player of the Week twice and has had a very successful season, scoring over 20 points per game and recording several double-doubles.
Regarding another Ukrainian basketball player, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, he received an NBA championship ring before the game between 'Utah' and 'Boston Celtics'. Mykhailiuk participated in half of the regular-season games, averaging 4.0 points, making 1.2 rebounds, and having a shooting accuracy of 38.9%. His best game was the last match before the playoffs, where he scored 26 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Mykhailiuk expressed his joy at receiving the championship ring and said it was an extraordinary experience that not every player gets in their career. He felt honored and happy to be part of this celebratory moment.
