According to intelligence, Russian troops are not prepared for a large-scale crossing of the Dnipro. According to the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, they lack the force and means for this.
'In order to advance on Kherson, it is necessary to cross the Dnipro, which is a large water obstacle. To accomplish this, significant forces and means are required, which are difficult to conceal. So far, our intelligence has not detected any signs that the enemy is preparing to cross the Dnipro,' Voloshyn said.
Currently, the occupiers are only making minor reconnaissance attempts, landing groups of 5-7 people on 2-3 boats. They are trying to capture islands, including Kozatsky Island.
'What does this assault consist of? A couple of boats, five to seven people trying to land on our shore, specifically on Kozatsky Island, and conducting assault operations there to push our defenders out,' Voloshyn explained.
The defenders of Ukraine maintain control over the majority of the islands in the Dnipro, so the enemy is not achieving success.
