Series of Explosions in Smolensk Region of Russia
On the night of January 21, a series of explosions occurred in the Smolensk region of Russia, leading to a fire in a building. The regional governor, Vasily Anokhin, confirmed the information regarding a drone attack in this area.
Witnesses report that a drone collided with a residential building, causing a fire. The shockwave shattered windows on the top floor of the building. Fortunately, no one was injured. Drones also flew towards an oil depot and an aircraft factory in Smolensk, but the air defense system worked, which helped stop the attack.
After these events, several apartment buildings in Smolensk are without electricity and water supply. An ambulance and a fire truck arrived at the scene. Local residents reported hearing loud explosions.
Attack on Oil Depot in Liski
Additionally, on January 20, drones also attacked the oil depot in the city of Liski. The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, reported that the air defense systems dealt with the drones, but one of them fell and caused a fire at the depot.
