In Poltava, a man set himself on fire in the regional state administration building.


In the premises of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, an incident occurred when a man doused himself with liquid and set himself on fire. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The incident occurred on September 27 around 12 o'clock. An elderly man from another region, 71 years old. Police officers who were in the building extinguished the flames on his clothing and called an ambulance. The victim was taken to the hospital with burns.
A police investigative team and forensic experts are working at the scene to determine the motives and circumstances of the incident.
The media "Poltavshchyna" reports that the victim is in intensive care with burns to 90% of his body. The man was an internally displaced person and lived in a modular town. Prior to the self-immolation, he approached the administration's leadership.
According to updated media reports, the man had an unstable psychological state and complained about the head of the regional police, Yevhen Rohachov, whom he accused of stealing his tomatoes and persecution.
