A gas explosion occurred in a high-rise building in Moscow: there are casualties (video).


A fire broke out in a building in Moscow due to a gas explosion, resulting in the deaths of three people. This is reported by Russian media.
Witnesses claim that there was a loud explosion first, and then a fire started in the apartments on General Tyulenev Street.
According to the reports, people tried to escape from the burning apartments but were unable to do so. 11 people were injured, three of whom were killed.
It is noted that residents may remain inside the burned apartments. Emergency services are working on-site, but the flames have not yet been extinguished.
The area of the fire is about 100 square meters. Local utilities have suspended gas supply to the building where the explosion occurred.
Currently, it is unknown what exactly triggered the explosion and fire.
We also remind that in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, there was also an explosion in a residential building due to a gas leak. As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out and several window frames and glass surfaces, including in neighboring houses, were damaged.
