Hamburg railway station closed due to suspected dangerous virus in passenger.

On the evening of October 2, two tracks were temporarily closed at Hamburg's central railway station due to suspected presence of the dangerous Marburg virus in one of the passengers. This was reported by NDR.
According to NDR, the passenger who became a suspect turned out to be a German medical student. He and his girlfriend flew from Rwanda to Frankfurt and then traveled by train to Hamburg. Upon arrival, he himself called the health authorities and reported that he had been in contact with a person infected with the Marburg virus.
Both young people were transported to the University Hospital Eppendorf in a special ambulance. Other train passengers, according to fire brigade representatives, are not at risk. However, it is not yet known whether they will need to be quarantined.
