Stood in Defense of Ukraine Since the Beginning of the Full-Scale War. Remembering Roman Lepish.


Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Roman Lepish.
On September 5, 2024, while performing tasks to protect Ukraine's sovereignty and independence in Donetsk region, serviceman from Lviv Roman Lepish was killed. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Roman Lepish was born on November 24, 1983, in Lviv. He studied at school No. 63 of lyceum No. 70.
He received higher education at the Lviv National University of Environmental Sciences, majoring in "fruits and vegetables cultivation". Recently, he worked as a storekeeper at a local enterprise. He spent his free Time engaged in mushroom farming and enjoying nature.
With the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend the state from Russian invaders.
Roman Lepish was performing tasks to protect Ukraine's sovereignty and independence in Donetsk region as part of the 100th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the regional command "West" of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On September 5, 2024, Ukrainian defender Roman Lepish was killed.
The funeral service took place on September 12, 2024, at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, followed by a city-wide farewell ceremony at Rynok Square. Roman Lepish was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
Roman Lepish is survived by his parents, wife, son, and two brothers.
The main command of the armed forces joins the minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died fighting for the Motherland. We remember those killed by Russian invaders, light memory candles, and bow our heads in sorrow during the national minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all soldiers, civilians, and children, all who died fighting the Russian occupiers and as a result of enemy attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
