18th Century Old Palace in Vinnytsia Returned to the Community.

The Palace in Serebryntsi has been transferred to the community
The Mogyliv-Podilskyi District Court of Vinnytsia Oblast decided to transfer an ownerless palace from the late 18th century in the village of Serebryntsi to the ownership of the Vendychany settlement community, reports the Prosecutor's Office of Vinnytsia Oblast.
The Prosecutor's Office established that the palace, with an area of about 1,3 thousand square meters and a value of over 63 million UAH, is an object of national significance - a monument of architecture. This object has been under state protection since 1979, but it remained ownerless because the Vendychany Village Council did not carry out the procedure for acquiring the right to communal property on this palace.
The decision to transfer the palace to the community’s ownership was taken to preserve this monument as an object of cultural heritage and to avoid possible damage or destruction. After the court's decision comes into legal force, the Prosecutor's Office will monitor its implementation.
This palace is the only one left from the Potocki family in Ukraine and was built by Mykhailo Chackyi for his wife Beata Potocka.
