It became known which football club the new Pope Francis supports.

New Pope Francis Leo XIV is a supporter of 'Roma'
Leo XIV, the newly elected Pope, turned out to be a fan of the football club 'Roma', which includes Ukrainian player Artem Dovbik, reports 'Glavkom'.
'He loves sports. He is a big fan of 'Roma'. I spoke with him after the match 'Roma' - 'Fiorentina'. He jokingly told me: 'Roma's victory is the first miracle of Francis after his death', said pastor Giuseppe Pagano.
According to the pastor, he was with the new Pope at one of the Roman monasteries, where they studied together in 1983. They also worked together in Rome.
Giuseppe Pagano shared that Leo XIV has many hobbies, including driving. Previously, the new Pope, American Cardinal Robert Prevo, admitted that he considers himself an amateur tennis player.
On May 8, Robert Prevo from the USA was elected the new Pope, and he chose the name Leo XIV. This was a historic event, as it is the first American Pope in history. Greetings on the election of the new Pope have already been expressed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and US leader Donald Trump.
During the conclave in the Vatican, black smoke initially came from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel, and then white smoke, indicating the election of a new head of the Catholic Church.
Before the conclave began, the Cardinals took solemn oaths to maintain strict secrecy, reminding of the serious consequences of its violation.
