The USA has suspended the acceptance of immigration applications from Ukrainians: what is the matter.

The USA has suspended the review of applications from Ukrainians for humanitarian parole
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that the review of applications from Ukrainians for humanitarian parole has been suspended. This decision was made to ensure safety and prevent fraud and threats to national security. It pertains to immigration applications from migrants from Ukraine and other countries that had permission to enter the USA through certain programs established during the presidency of Joe Biden. The review of applications for a change of immigration status for participants of the 'Uniting for Ukraine' (U4U) program and other programs has been temporarily suspended until a risk assessment is completed. For Ukrainians already in the USA, there is another immigration program - Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which allows them to restore their status. Its validity has been extended until October 2026.
An immigration attorney noted that this will lead to serious delays in processing applications. However, the TPS program has legislative protection, and people can appeal decisions through legal channels. It is worth noting that the acceptance of new applications under the U4U program had already been halted during the Trump administration. Information regarding the consequences of these measures has not yet been disclosed.
Statistics show that over 118,000 Ukrainians have arrived in the USA under the U4U program, while 103,700 citizens of Ukraine are part of the TPS program. About 25,000 Ukrainians crossed the border from Mexico.
