The USA will assist Ukraine in modifying some air defense systems.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, and Ukrainian and American defense companies discussed the modernization of Ukrainian air defense assets. This is reported by Glavkom referring to the press service of the defense ministry.
During the meeting, the companies discussed the development of cooperation in the modernization of Ukrainian air defense assets. The focus was on organizing repair work and modifying some systems of Ukrainian air defense.
Ukrainian and American companies are considering the possibility of repairing some air defense systems that are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine, which will allow for quicker use of the updated weapons
As a reminder, the European Union will provide additional air defense systems and rockets to Ukraine.
Moreover, Ukraine and Britain are starting a joint project LMM-RapidRanger to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. Within this initiative, Ukraine will receive over five thousand LMM (Lightweight Multirole Missile) interceptors and launchers for them.
