Did the Russians enter Pokrovsk? The Armed Forces made a statement.
On the night of January 18, information spread on the internet that the Russians allegedly invaded Pokrovsk, located in Donetsk. The OSUV 'Khortytsia' stated that there are no Russian troops in the city, as battles continue on the approaches.
Information is circulating about the presence of the enemy in Pokrovsk. This information is not true.
«The operational situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains the most complex at the contact line. Fierce battles continue on the approaches to the agglomeration. Defense forces are resisting the enemy's attempts to realize their numerical superiority and develop an offensive», – the message reads.

The Russian invaders launched one missile strike on the territory of Ukraine using two missiles. In addition, they used 694 kamikaze drones and conducted over 3200 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas.
Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy's attempts to advance further into our territory, inflicting fire damage on them.
