Natural resources as part of national security.

Ukraine received tremendous assistance from the USA, which exceeds the help provided by Europe. President Donald Trump stated that the war in Ukraine is less relevant to Americans, but the USA is ready to continue providing assistance with guarantees of compensation. He also noted that the USA wishes to negotiate an agreement with Ukraine regarding the utilization of mineral resources.

Russia has already occupied a significant part of Ukraine's rare earth metal deposits, and therefore the USA is interested in accessing these resources. Some resources are already under Russian control. Russia also controls coal deposits, oil fields, and natural gas fields in Ukraine.

It is mentioned that Ukraine has the largest reserves of rare earth metals in Europe, and the Ukrainian government has already formulated an investment portfolio for the joint development of these resources. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that an agreement with the USA will complement and strengthen existing sanctions against Russia. However, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Trump's proposal 'selfish'.

Ukraine hopes that cooperation with the USA and the EU regarding Ukrainian resources will be mutually beneficial and help end Russian aggression and ensure national security.
