After the March suspension: Austria has restored important benefits for Ukrainians.

The Austrian parliament has made a decision to extend the regulation that allows Ukrainian refugees to obtain medical insurance.
According to information published on the official website of the Austrian parliament, Ukrainian refugees will be able to take advantage of this benefit until May 31, 2025.
According to government estimates, the cost of this program for the state budget will be about 7 million euros. It is worth noting that the previous decision on preferential insurance for refugees expired on March 4, 2025.
In addition to medical insurance, starting from 2025, the Austrian government will also continue to provide other support to refugees. 'From January 1, 2025, refugees will receive family benefits and childcare assistance,' it is stated on the official website of the government.
Earlier in Ukraine, the departure from the country was permitted for some categories of men.
