The sea trading port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region has made a mark: the employees of the local port have started transshipping steel billets for the first Time in ten years. This has recently been a rarity for them, as they have been focusing more on grain cargoes.A total of 20 thousand tons of steel have already been transshipped, and they are expecting a new batch of products. Such cargo is supplied for one of the largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine. The port believes that this shift to steel products will help them be more resilient during the difficult times we are living in.The port director, Vyacheslav Bezruk, emphasized that working with metal cargoes is the result of the collective efforts of the port team, which has implemented numerous organizational, technical, and logistical changes. Currently, the port is actively working on increasing cargo flow volumes. The shift in focus from grain cargoes to steel is an important step for the port of Chornomorsk, which will enable the enterprise to be more resilient under modern conditions and will help expand its capabilities for the future.
