New tariffs and salaries: what changes await residents of Poland from 2025.

From 2025, changes are planned in Poland that will significantly affect the daily lives of citizens and residents of the country, including Ukrainians. This is reported by the information portal Inpoland.
The Polish government has decided to freeze electricity tariffs for residential consumers from January 1 to September 30. The maximum price will be 500 zlotys per megawatt-hour, which is approximately equal to 5000 hryvnias. This decision is intended to support households during a difficult economic period and to promote the transition to environmentally friendly sources of energy.
Meanwhile, gas tariffs, which increased by 20% from July 2024, will remain high until the end of June 2025. The new price will be 239 zlotys per megawatt-hour, compared to the previous price of 200.17 zlotys.
The main innovation will be changes in water supply tariffs: the first cubic meter of water will cost only 1 zloty. This will allow households to meet basic needs for a symbolic amount.
Economic challenges will also affect food prices. Over the past year, prices for butter have increased by 19%, and for meat - by 5%. The rise in dairy product prices is linked to the increase in the cost of dairy raw materials and the decrease in the herd of cows.
The Polish government will also introduce a new tax on air transportation, which is likely to lead to an increase in ticket prices. Passengers will feel this the most during the holiday season.
From January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Poland will increase to 4666 zlotys gross. The minimum hourly rate will be 30.50 zlotys gross. These changes will affect all employees, including Ukrainians, and may necessitate a review of employment contract terms.
Earlier, Ukrainians in Poland were explained whether drivers must pay tax on imported cars.
