New PrivatBank rules: which purchases may lead to card blocking.

The press service of PrivatBank explained why a client's card was blocked after an attempt to pay for pet goods amounting to 144 hryvnias.
A female PrivatBank client encountered the blocking of her bank card after she tried to pay for a collar for her cat at the ITbox store. The bank recognized this transaction as 'high-risk' and blocked the card after conducting a check.
Any card transaction may undergo additional verification by the bank's security service.
Furthermore, PrivatBank stated that this decision was based on the terms and conditions that the client agrees to while using the card. The bank has the right to block the use of the card for risky transactions according to its internal procedures and the rules of international payment systems.
The attempt to pay for the goods led to a two-hour saga that included verification through customer support, identity confirmation via phone, photo verification, and numerous login attempts in Privat24. Ultimately, the card was blocked without the possibility of unlocking.
PrivatBank suggested the client order a new card through Privat24 and indicated that it could be picked up at a bank branch or a Nova Poshta parcel terminal.
