New COVID-19 cases in Asia

Situation in Hong Kong and Singapore
On May 13, the head of the infectious diseases department of the Hong Kong Center for Health Protection noted that the number of infected people is rising, leading to new waves of infections. He also warned of a high level of COVID-19 cases in the country, which has reached its highest levels since April 2024.
Singapore, for its part, has announced its readiness for a new wave of coronavirus by publishing updated infection statistics. According to Bloomberg agency, during the week from April 27 to May 3, the number of infected people increased by 28%, while the number of hospitalizations increased by 30%. Authorities advise citizens to adhere to precautionary measures and wear masks.
It is worth noting that American scientists have successfully developed a new vaccine, Epigraph, which can protect against various strains of influenza A. This vaccine is effective against viruses that spread among humans, pigs, and birds.
