The NBU sold 590 million dollars on the interbank market
From November 18 to 22, the National Bank of Ukraine sold 590 million dollars on the interbank market and did not buy currency.
According to the NBU, from November 18 to 22, 590 million dollars were sold, which is 36.82 million dollars more than last week. At the same Time, the National Bank did not buy currency, reports the Economic Truth.
Since the beginning of the year, the National Bank has sold almost 28.4 billion dollars and bought 125.6 million dollars.
Earlier, the National Bank's Board decided to keep the discount rate at 15%. This decision is related to the need to maintain exchange rate stability, preserve moderate inflation in 2024, and bring it to the target range of 5%.
On October 2, 2023, the National Bank announced a transition from the fixed exchange rate regime. Starting from October 3, 2023, the official dollar rate began to change – for the first time since July 2022.
