The Chief of the General Staff of Poland has spoken about the threat of war and the importance of the country's preparedness
The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Wiesław Kukuła, emphasized in his interview for Rzeczpospolita about the real threat of war and the importance of Poland's preparation for possible aggression. According to him, aggression always gains strength from weakness and Russia has the potential for military actions and development of its defensive capabilities.
"Aggression always gains strength from weakness. In our case, this means that Russia's military potential can quickly grow, in addition to developing its military force and continuing to take unpredictable actions on the international stage."
General Kukuła also stated support for allies in the event of aggression by Russia or Belarus. He emphasized that Poland will support the Baltic countries in case of any conflicts with Russia. However, he rejected the idea of shooting down Russian missiles over Ukraine within its borders.
