Cities of Ukraine became leaders in the ranking for affordable housing in Europe.

Kyiv made it to the ranking of the cheapest cities in Europe to live in
According to the Numbeo service, Kyiv ranks 125th out of 141 European cities. The ranking also includes Dnipro (126), Odesa (130), Lviv (131), and Kharkiv (132).
The study showed that in nine Russian cities, living is cheaper than in Kyiv. Moscow and St. Petersburg are also among the leaders in low living costs (123rd and 128th places). Lower positions were taken by Chișinău, Skopje, Niš, Minsk, and Pristina.
According to Numbeo, the most expensive cities in Europe are in Switzerland. The first five places in the ranking are occupied by Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva, Basel, and Bern. Reykjavik (Iceland), London, and some cities in Norway also made it to the top ten.
The ranking is formed based on several indicators, including the cost of rent, food, restaurants, public transport, and utilities. The indicators are compared to New York City.
Housing costs for rent or mortgage are not taken into account in the overall cost of living. Considering these expenses, living in the largest city in the USA turns out to be more expensive than in any European city, but without these expenses, prices in the three most expensive cities in Switzerland are slightly higher.
The highest housing costs are found in London, Zurich, Geneva, Dublin, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Basel, Lausanne, and Brighton. For the indicator of housing costs in the city center, Zurich comes out on top by a large margin. London, Geneva, Lausanne, and Bern also made it to the top 10.
