Today, the enemy carried out 73 airstrikes, dropping 106 guided bombs, engaging 844 kamikaze drones, and conducting over 4100 shelling attacks on our positions and populated areas.

War news in Ukraine

As of April 5, by 22:00, there were 152 combat clashes. The defense forces are directing efforts to disrupt the plans of the Russian invaders' offensive and deplete their combat potential. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Latest news from the front

The most tense situation was recorded in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, Toretsk, and Kursk directions.

In the Kharkiv direction 

The enemy attacked once in the direction of Kamianka.

In the Kupiansk direction

The enemy attempted to advance towards our positions near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, and Nova Kruhlyakivka six times during the day; Ukrainian units repelled all attacks.

In the Kramatorsk direction

Our defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Hryhorivka.

In the Lyman direction

The enemy attacked 20 times in the areas of Novoihorivka, Novolyubivka, Hrekivka, Novoje, Katerynivka, and towards Zelena Dolyna. Our fighters stopped 15 attacks by the invaders, while five fights are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction

The enemy conducted 18 offensive operations on our troops' positions in the areas of Kurdiumivka, Toretsk, Dachne, Leondidivka, and Druzhba; three clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy attempted to break through our defense in the Pokrovsk direction 65 times in the areas of the settlements of Kotlyarivka, Valentynivka, Oleksandropol, Tarasivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Bohdanivka; 11 clashes are ongoing.

The occupiers carried out airstrikes with guided bombs in the areas of the settlements of Zorya and Stara Mykolaivka.

In the Novopavlivsk direction

Today, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attacks of the occupation army in the areas of the settlements of Rozliv, Kostiantynopil, and Burlatske; four clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kursk direction

Today, there were 17 clashes, two of which are still ongoing. The enemy carried out 19 airstrikes and dropped 21 guided bombs, conducted 286 artillery shelling of our troops' positions and populated areas, including seven.

As a reminder, the full-scale war in Ukraine is now in its 1137th day.

Analysis: As of April 5, an active phase of military operations continues in Donbas. The enemy has carried out a significant number of airstrikes, involving kamikaze drones and conducting thousands of shelling attacks. Combat clashes occurred in various directions, particularly in Pokrovsk, Lyman, Toretsk, and Kursk. Ukrainian military forces successfully repelled many enemy attacks and continue to defend their positions. The occupiers also used aviation to attack the settlements of Zorya and Stara Mykolaivka. Given the duration of the conflict, it is important to maintain high combat readiness and protect territorial objectives.
