The number of deaths in Sumy has increased due to enemy attacks
The number of deaths in Sumy has risen following an enemy attack. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing the head of Sumy Artem Kobzar.
According to him, the number of casualties as a result of the missile strike on the Sumy community has risen to three. Five injured are receiving inpatient treatment, one - outpatient. A non-residential building has been destroyed, and two others have been damaged.
As is known, one man died at the scene, one person died en route to the hospital, and another person died already in the medical facility. The deceased were aged 36, 29, and 41 years.
Earlier, Kobzar reported that on May 15, a day of mourning was declared in the Sumy community after a strike on an industrial facility.
As a reminder, Russian invaders today, May 14, launched a missile strike on an industrial infrastructure facility in Sumy.
Enemy attacks and Ukraine's response
As is known, from the evening of May 13 and during the night of the 14th, the Russian military attacked Ukraine with the Iskander-M missile/KN-23 and 145 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones. As of 09:00, the downing of 80 strike drones of the Shahed type (drones of other types) has been confirmed in the east, north, west, and center of the country. 42 enemy imitation drones have been location-wise lost (without negative consequences). As a result of the enemy attack, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad regions were affected.
Earlier, a Russian drone attacked an energy workers' car in the territory of the Sumy community. The Russian Federation ignored the proposal for a complete and lasting ceasefire from May 12. Ukraine is ready for negotiations with the Russian Federation but demands confirmation of the ceasefire.
According to new information, President Zelensky will be in Turkey on May 15 for a meeting with Putin, and Ukrainian forces are ready to respond to any actions regarding military operations.
