Invictus Games 2025. A fruitful day for Ukraine.

Ukraine continues to impress with its results at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, Canada. During the four days of competition, our team won 15 medals, including six gold, five silver, and four bronze.
The largest number of successes our team achieved was in biathlon and cross-country skiing with five medals. Additionally, our athletes won three medals in alpine skiing and two medals in snowboarding. Ukrainian athletes demonstrated high results in all sports they participated in. Particularly impressive were our team's achievements in standing cross-country skiing: Volodymyr Marchenko took first place, Yaroslav Sharkiy - second place, and Valeriy Odaynyk - third place. The distance between Yaroslav Sharkiy and Volodymyr Marchenko was less than a second. Furthermore, Illia Haiduk won a bronze medal in skeleton. Thus, our team succeeded in all winter sports, marking a first in the history of the Invictus Games.
One of the most successful athletes to date is Artur Milin, who won two bronze medals: one in wheelchair basketball and one in biathlon.
In terms of total winter sports medals, Ukraine ranks second, only behind the USA, which has 21 medals.
Congratulations to our team and wish them further victories! There are still five days left until the end of the Invictus Games 2025. Today at 20:30 Kyiv Time, the second competition day of snowboarding and alpine skiing will take place, featuring athletes at intermediate and advanced levels.
