US Secretary of Defense Hosts His Wife at Meeting with Foreign Military Officials
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset, who has come under scrutiny for discussing the details of a military strike in a Signal chat, brought his wife with him to two meetings with foreign military officials where confidential information was discussed.
Jennifer Rocher, a former producer at Fox News, accompanied him during negotiations, causing concern among those present. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to sources familiar with the situation, one of these meetings took place on March 6 at the Pentagon. It was a high-level discussion between Hegset and UK Defense Minister John Healey.
The negotiations took place at a critical moment for NATO, just a day after the US announced a halt in intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
The presence of Rocher at these meetings raises questions about the security of the information being transmitted, as such discussions typically occur in a closed format.
Currently, there are no official comments regarding her role and level of access to the data.
