Integration of Ukraine's Defense Industry and the EU

The European Commissioner for Defense and Space, Andrius Kubilius, noted that the swift consolidation of Ukraine's defense industrial capacities with the European Union is beneficial for both sides. He emphasized that this would combine European manufacturing capabilities and finances with Ukrainian energy and innovative approaches.

'Ukraine can benefit from European production capacity and financial resources, as well as from modern technologies and platforms, aircraft, and air defense batteries. But the Ukrainian industry is faster, it is more modern, it can produce unique products.'

Kubilius also noted that Ukraine is a leader in many areas of the defense industry. Its achievements not only effectively protect the country but also significantly enhance the security of all of Europe.

The European Commissioner highlighted the key advantages of partnership between the EU and Ukraine. Ukraine produces high-quality and innovative weapons at lower prices, which allows Europe to get more for less. In addition, European countries can borrow from the experience of Ukrainian defense industry management, which is rapidly developing and is one of the most progressive in the world.
