Drones Hit the Syzran Oil Refinery.


On March 4, shortly after midnight, there was a drone attack on the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region. This is evidenced by local reports mentioning a series of explosions in the area, followed by a powerful blast at the refinery itself. There is currently no official information from the authorities.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Central Command Post of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), commented on the event, reminding that this refinery had already suspended its operations in February.

It is noted that the refinery is engaged in the production of fuel, aviation gas, and bitumen. It completely switched to producing Euro-5 standard products in 2015 and processes oil from Western Siberia and the Samara region. Kovalenko emphasized that such refineries are crucial for supplying fuel to the Russian army and are part of the logistics of the troops.
On the night of February 19, the Syzran oil refinery was also attacked by drones. This attack led to damage to the L-24-7 unit and tanks on the territory of the refinery in the city of Ufa. The total duration of the full-scale war has already exceeded 1105 days.
