The diplomat explained why Israelis perceive Trump's victory differently than Ukrainians.

In Israel, there is a belief that Donald Trump's return to power could change the situation in the Middle East. Israel's ambassador Michael Brodsky stated in an interview with 'Glavkom' that Trump is a friend of Israel, and during his first term, significant events occurred, such as the establishment of diplomatic relations with Arab countries. They hope to continue this with Saudi Arabia, which could change the Middle East. He also noted that Trump could increase pressure on Iran, which poses a threat not only to Israel but to the entire region.
Journalists asked Brodsky about Ukraine's prospects with Trump in power, especially considering his promises for a quick end to the war. The diplomat responded that Trump will start his term on January 20, 2025, so it would be wise to wait until January 21.
Trump and Ukraine's prospects
American officials asked Netanyahu what issues he wants to resolve before Trump takes office. The Americans also raised issues regarding Israeli-Lebanese actions for a ceasefire, a plan for Gaza post-war, and normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Previously, Trump had voiced support for strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in response to their ballistic missile attacks.
