The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to counter Russia's plans thanks to the support of Western allies and modern weapons. This was stated by Zenon Koval, special advisor to the Ukrainian embassy in Belgium, during a broadcast on 'Espresso' channel.
"There are two scenarios for ending the war. The first - Russia achieves its goals, the second - we do not allow this. And this can be done by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, together with Western support and modern weapons, are able to deal a truly painful blow to the Russian positions," emphasized the diplomat.According to Koval, one of the key tools of pressure on Russia is the sanctions, which have an increasingly significant impact through the enforcement and tightening of existing restrictions. At the same Time, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, warned that unsuccessful negotiations could lead to an escalation of the conflict and the use of new weapons. Negotiations are ongoing between Trump and Putin. US President Donald Trump has set a two-week deadline for Russian leader Putin to make progress in negotiations aimed at ending the war. Tension between Trump and Putin has risen recently, as the American leader has failed to convince his Russian counterpart to stop the conflict. A lack of progress in negotiations could lead to further escalation of the situation, warned Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. Koval emphasized the importance of Western support and sanctions in the strategy to deter Russian aggressive actions. Even unsuccessful negotiations and escalating relations can lead to further fueling of the conflict and the use of new weapons. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to meet the challenges from Russia thanks to the support of Western allies and modern weapons. Sanctions from Western countries play an important role in pressuring Moscow, but unsuccessful negotiations could intensify the conflict and lead to further escalation of the situation.
