Building Bomb Shelters: Norway Prepares for the 'Worst Scenarios' from Russia.

The Norwegian government is planning to mandate the construction of bomb shelters in new buildings due to Russia's aggression in Ukraine. This decision has been made to protect citizens in the worst-case scenario of war or invasion. Norway's Minister of Justice and Public Security, Emilie Enger Mehl, stated that it is necessary to care for the population and prepare for the worst.
Until 1998, every large residential complex in Norway had to have a bomb shelter. However, since then, no new bomb shelters have been built. The government proposes to establish two types of shelters: some will protect against chemical and radioactive weapons, and others will shield from conventional weapons, which can be repurposed from subway stations or parking garages.
The war in Ukraine has lasted for 1053 days. The situation is hottest in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. In total, 198 combat clashes occurred over the past day. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks.
