The author of the phrase about the Russian warship revealed what happened on Snake Island three years ago.

Ukrainian marine Roman Hrybov recounted the events that took place on Snake Island during the Russian invasion. According to him, both border guards and marines found themselves in a hopeless situation as they lacked support from the mainland.
After a collective meeting, the Ukrainian military decided to inform the Russian cruiser 'Moskva' of their refusal to surrender and their readiness to sacrifice their lives. Hrybov noted that this response was sincere and expressed on behalf of all the fighters.
The Ukrainian military found themselves in a powerless situation as they were shelled by Russian ships and planes, and there were not enough places for shelter on the island, Hrybov said.
Hrybov also reported that the Russian troops offered the Ukrainian army to leave the island unarmed, but the Ukrainian defenders refused this offer and decided to stay on the island.
It is noted that during the Russian invasion, Russian military ships approached Snake Island and offered surrender to the Ukrainian military. However, the Ukrainian border guards and marines refused and expressed their disagreement with the phrase 'Russian warship, go f*ck yourself!'.
Later it became known that Hrybov, along with other soldiers, was captured but was later released and returned home. For his services to Cherkasy, he was awarded a distinction.
