Biden Administration Allows Deployment of Military Contractors to Ukraine – Reuters.

The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has allowed sending American military contractors to Ukraine to service and repair military equipment provided by the Pentagon. This was reported by Reuters.
A small number of contractors will be located far from the frontline. They will not participate in combat actions, but will help ensure that the equipment provided by the U.S. can be quickly repaired in case of damage and maintenance performed as needed.
It is noted that restrictions in the past sometimes slowed down repairs and caused difficulties as the U.S. provided Kyiv with more complex systems like F-16 fighter jets and Patriot missile defense systems.
Many pieces of equipment in the country are not being used because they are damaged. He added that American troops will not need to protect contractors in Ukraine, and matters such as security and risk mitigation will be the responsibility of the companies contracting with the Pentagon.
Some U.S. defense contractors have previously visited Ukraine in small numbers, servicing weapons not provided by the Pentagon.
Let's recall that the U.S. is working on an appropriate response to the deployment of North Korean troops near Ukraine's border. This was stated by U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller during a briefing.
«We are consulting with our partners regarding an appropriate response to the deployment of soldiers from North Korea in the Kursk region,» noted Miller.
He also observed that «the response to Russian aggression is not only a U.S. response».
